Why Boatable exists
Every boater knows the frustration: a dozen phone calls to find service, hand-written quotes from mechanics who only work by referral, parts that fit one hull but not another, and job records scattered across emails and texts.
Boatable started with community intelligence — community-contributed ramp conditions, fuel prices, and trip logs from real boaters — and is expanding into structured marine-service workflows that connect owners with providers.
What we are building
- Structured service requests so owners describe the boat, symptoms, location, timing, and supporting media once
- Quote and job records that keep scope, price, status, and payment state tied to one workflow
- Provider operations for leads, offerings, jobs, and payout setup
- Verification levels that state exactly what has been checked instead of using blanket trust claims
- Roadmap layers for storage, transport, vessel passport, and advisory Copilot features only after the service wedge proves out
